Delibird's Present

[Or alternately, "No this is my ornament don't even think about taking it"]

I actually had this finished back in November, but due to what I was using it for, I wasn't about to upload it before I had it in its entire finished state.

Done for a holiday theme for Pokecommunity.com - which took way longer than it should have (over a year from conception to actually finishing it; it was originally meant for Christmas 2007, and got done just in time for Christmas 2008). This was due in part to me being lazy with the artwork, and also in part due to...other reasons. Never mind.

But yeah. Delibirds! And this is actually the third try of mine for this particular picture, and a rare case of where I'm actually far happier with something other than the first version.

For the curious:
First try - eventually scrapped due to broken mouse (like hell I'm gonna try coloring something with my touchpad) and then eventually running out of time;

Second try - didn't even bother leaving in the colors here since I didn't get very far; and since I was getting bugged to finish and didn't have the motivation for that particular one, I ust said "screw it" and redrew it again.

This isn't all of the image I used for the banner for that theme, but it is the majority of the artwork, so yeah.
